Founded in Wanaka by Wayne Pretty of Pretty Sweet Lighting & Electrical, Sweet Slips were created to solve a problem tradies face every day: how to keep boots on for safety while protecting finished floors - without creating mountains of disposable waste.

There was a clear gap in the market. Plenty of single-use boot covers. Nothing reusable, durable and built properly for trades - So we made them.

On building sites and in finished homes, teams are often encouraged under PPE standards to remove boots indoors. But on active worksites, taking off your work boots isn’t always practical - and it’s not always safe.

At the same time, disposable shoe covers were piling up in the bin.

We knew there had to be a better way.

Sweet Slips are reusable work boot covers designed to slip easily over your boots, keeping dirt, debris and muck off your clients’ floors while allowing you and your crew to stay properly protected.

No boots off.

No compromise on safety.

No unnecessary plastic waste.

Just a smarter standard for modern job sites.

BUILT FOR REAL WORK

Sweet Slips are made from high-grade neoprene for flexibility and durability, with an extra-grip rubber sole for traction on slippery surfaces.

They’re easy to put on, machine washable, and designed to be used again and again.

They’re not flimsy.
They’re not disposable.
They’re built for tradies who take pride in their work.

Changing the mentality

We believe safety and sustainability should work together.

Sweet Slips are about more than floor protection — they’re about lifting site standards, protecting reputations, and showing clients you care about their property.

It’s a small detail that makes a big difference.

Put your best foot forward.
